This is voulme 2 of the surgical history. There was 3 surgcial volumes and 3 medical volumes. I have 5 of the volumes for sale, i'm missing volume 1 of the surgical volumes.
This volume covers injuries to the abdomen, pelvis, flesh wounds to the back, wounds and injuries of the upper extremities, amputations, shot fractures. Some plates of surgical instruments. An amazing look at the horror of war injuries. These are extremely rare books. 1024 pages, 20 pages of index.
Has hundreds of illustrations and color plates. Many case studies with names of the civil war soldiers that were studied. I will be selling each book individually.
