Civil War Era Stag Handle Sword No ScabbardMrctqes101 store. Here for your consideration is a vintage sword that i aquired form an estate sale this past summer. You are bidding on the sword only, no scabbard. I do not know the country of origin or who the maker was. It was bought along with a collection of civil war and gar items. I will describe is as best as i can. The blade has a rounded top edge, it is 28ins as is, part of the tip has been damaged (see pics). The blade has some minor rust and minor pitting it. The blaed is 1 1/8ins wide just under the guard. Teh hand guard seems to be made of brass, a magnet will not stick to it. The guard has a shiedl and flower and vine design, no damage. The end where the guard and sword go together has a slight bend. The handle looks like it is stag and has a minor chip near teh top where is is connected to the guard, to minor to get a good picture of.
