Nice Us Civil War Officer SwordThis is a non regulation officer sword which was one of the many imports used during the u. S. Civil war era. tI is mounted with a slightly curved, unmarked blade that measures 30 inches in length. The blade remains in untouched, uncleaned condition and has staining, some minor nicks as well as a pronounced rust spot at the tip due to lengthy stoarge neglect, however could be cleaned up in the right hands. The fancy brass guard has now developed a deep rich patina and frames a fishskin wrapped hilt that remains healthy and tight. The leather scabbard is also brass fitted and shows wear but does remain in good serviceable condition. Overall measuring 39 1/2 inches in length.
