Old Civil War Soldier Tintype Maine Trooper Wcav SwordMctiques store. Recently found here in maine in a lot of old paper but not specifically id'ed. An old original tintype of a union cavalry soldier posed ni front of a camp backdrop of tents and us flag. Measures 3 x 4. Nice example of a maine trooper dressed for service. Of note there is overall fine glaze crackling throughuot which creates several lines through the image.
Also there is a small amount of a white residue whihc i believe will clean. Guaranteed authentic and just as described. Buyer pays actual s/i which will be our cost priority mail for most items. If a buyer dneies insurance, any loss belongs to the buyer. There is never a handling charge. Maine residents must provide copy of their annual resale certificate or pay 5% sales tax. Will gladly ship internationally but customs documents will reflect purchase price. Please e-mail us if you have questions. Thanks ofr looking. On nov-19-08 at 064059 pst, seller added the following informationthis may be a longshot, btu i thought i put it out there. In this same paper lot was this cabinet photo of a george bowden who to me looks very similar to the soldier in the tintype. Tehre is a george bowden listed as a private in the 8th me but not in the 1st me cav or 2nd me cav. There is a nathaniel bowden listed as a corporal in the 1st me cav. Perhaps geogre and nathaniel were brothers. As i said this si probably a longshot, but perhaps worth exploring.
