Old Us Sword Wengraved BladeUp for auction is a brass hilt old u. S. Sword. The hilt has flower decoratiosn all over it. tI is brass and has a good patina on it. The sword is missing the leather. It has 1 little remnnat of gilded wire on it. The relief carved wood on it is still in excellent shape. The sword has floral scenes on both sides fo the blade. The blade si highly etched approximately 2 feet of length on its side. One side is amrked u. S. With some cleaning, the rest may come out a little clearer. It has the remnants of a brass scabbard. The scabbard was leather. All that is left is the part that goes near teh hilt. I did not photograph it, it comes as a bonus.There is only 2-1/8 long of the scabbard remaining. The sword measures 37 long overall. Teh blade is 31-¼ long by 1-1/8 wide and 5/16 thick. The thickest point is near the hilt. The hilt is ihghly decorated and is 5-¾ long. The hilt is 4-½ wide.
