I believe it to be pre or very early civil war era. Not likely that cs would have been used udring or after the war, just my thinking. Goregous eagle with fine detail to feathers and shield. 13 stars surround him. He is perched atop a lgobe with the letters cs to it. 23mm with scvoill mfg. Co waterbury marekd back. A super niice button.
